    Chicago-based workplace lunch supply firm Fooda has acquired Peach, a Seattle startup that constructed software program to facilitate lunch deliveries.

    Peach CEO Nishant Singh confirmed that the deal closed in July. It’s a part of a recent wave of meals supply acquisitions, together with DoorDash’s $3.9 billion buy of Deliveroo in October and Surprise shopping for Grubhub final 12 months.

    “Fooda — together with a number of different corporations — approached us in early 2025,” Singh mentioned. “Given the continuing consolidation in our business, there was a pure synergy that made Fooda a nice match.”

    Phrases of the deal weren’t disclosed. “In the end, our board and administration determined that becoming a member of forces with Fooda was the fitting subsequent chapter for Peach,” Singh mentioned.

    Based in 2011, Fooda runs office meals packages in additional than 45 markets. Final 12 months Fooda acquired group supply firm Foodsby.

    Singh, an ex-Amazon engineer, co-founded Peach in 2014 along with his former Amazon colleagues Denis Bellavance and Chenyu Wang. The preliminary pitch occurred at a Startup Weekend occasion in Seattle.

    Peach differentiated from different meals supply providers by consolidating a number of lunch orders destined for workplace buildings. The startup raised cash from outstanding Seattle VCs and turned a profit in a number of markets, three years after launching.

    Peach raised $16 million complete. It had six workers when the deal closed. Singh and COO Prerit Agarwal are staying on to assist Peach transition to Fooda.

    The Peach service will proceed beneath a brand new title in its present cities.
